A Cry for Unity

Once a beacon of all things pure and bright,
Her essence rich with heritage and light,
With beauty timeless, her skin smooth and fair,
Eyes that daunt and strength beyond compare.

She, the force against the passage of years,
Resourceful, adorned with gems and cheers,
From girlhood's dawn to motherhood's embrace,
She built a legacy, a sturdy base.

Through trials and triumphs, grace she did impart,
She toiled for bounty, a generous heart,
For her children, a vision of peace and pride,
To create a haven where love would reside.

But now, her dreams seem shattered, gone awry,
She weeps in sorrow, her tears run dry,
Her children, once her pride, now sow discord,
Fighting each other, their deeds ignored.

In their hands, the labor of her years,
Now marred by strife and endless fears,
The echoes of betrayal, loud and clear,
She mourns the loss, her spirit near.

A mother weary, yet her voice resounds,
Against the chaos and the cruel bounds,
Enough of wrongs, enough of strife,
Time to restore the sanctity of life.

To rise and mend what has gone astray,
To confront the ills and light the way,
She stands undaunted, her cry is strong,
"Unite, stand firm, and right the wrong!"

For she is Nigeria, her spirit still aglow,
Demanding justice, as the winds of change blow,
A call for unity, against the corrupt tide,
A mother unbowed, with dignity and pride.
