Eating healthy by maintaining a diet is requires hard work, consistency, and discipline. The best way to eat right is to substitute unhealthy meals with healthy ones. You might want to have a little movie night maybe with friends or just you and all you can think of to make the movie great is having popcorn or some deep-fried chips and a cold drink to settle it but you know that's not wise. Well, you can enjoy even better crunchy snacks that’ll make your body thank you.
Apple Chips
You gorrit!. Apples are one of my favorite fruits, turning it into tasty chips is something no one should ignore. The good thing about this is you don’t need to fry (so no bad oil) and neither do you need sugar. Firstly, slice the apples slimly into the shape of circles (or whatever shape you’ll prefer but make sure it’s not thick in size). Secondly, lay them on a baking sheet in the baking pan. Thirdly, squeeze some citrus juice on them (orange, lemons, grapes). Fourthly, set the oven at 180 degrees F and leave for 20 minutes. And the most important step, Enjoy!
Apple-Doughnuts
Still, on apples, this one doesn't even require flour but you'll have to fry, just make sure it is healthy oil. Slice the apples into circles, unlike that of the chips, this will be thick like the size of a doughnut. Neatly take out the center part of each slice so it looks like a doughnut. Set this aside and prepare the dipping. You'll need an egg, flour, brown sugar, oil, cinnamon, milk or just cider and flour. After mixing the ingredients, deep the apples into the mixture and fry (you could either deep fry or fry mildly).
Apple Rings
Get your apple; make a cup-like shape out of it by scooping out the inner part. Add Butter, cowberry, brown sugar. Leave it in the oven at 400 degrees F for 60 minutes.
Peacorn

Mix Olive oil, cinnamon, and honey then add chickpea. Bake for 30 minutes at 348 degrees F. This is high protein popcorn.
Plantain/Banana Sweet
Get a nice stick like kebab sticks used to barbeque, divide the banana into two equal parts, fix one into a stick, and dip into the caramel and then some sweet toppings. That's it! A healthy snack.

Banana cupcakes
Mash a banana into the mixing bowl; add flour, baking powder, water, coconut oil, and brown sugar. Mix properly, pour into the cupcake sheets and bake for 25 minutes.
Cucumber chips
Slide cucumber into slim circle shapes like that of chips. Since cucumber dehydrates quickly when sliced, you won’t need the oven to do this. Leave the sliced cucumber to dehydrate for 2hours and it’s ready to munch on. P.S: if the taste seems a bit plain, you could sprinkle something healthy on it or have a nice dipping on the side while you enjoy it.
Strawberry chocolate cookies
Get a strawberry, cut into two halves, and use a toothpick to hold them together. Dip it into the chocolate mixture and bake.
Strawberry, Almond and Banana sandwich
This is one great way to cut down your butter, margarine or fried egg consumption with this. Take your bread for breakfast experience to the next level. You just need four ingredients for this: almond butter, banana slices, strawberry slices and whole-grain bread. Almond butter can be gotten in stores or you can make some yourself (homemade style) and if you feel you can’t find it in stores or you can’t seem to go through that stress, then you can use peanut butter as a replacement. Almond is locally known as Ofio.
How to make homemade almond butter:
Warm your almonds in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. This will make it easier for the food processor.
Add it to the food processor and start processing. Try not to add too much, you can do it in batches.
After about 10-15 minutes, it begins to thicken and starts getting warm; this is because the oil in the almonds is coming out.
It get more creamy after a few more minutes (you will have to be patient to get this done)
After you feel you’ve gotten your desired result, allow it to cools off and then put it in a jar but make sure it cools off completely.
When you got everything ready, take two slices of the bread, lay the ingredients on it one at a time and enjoy your masterpiece, if possible, (with a fruit smoothie). The whole-grain bread and strawberries are rich in fiber, the banana is filled with potassium and the almond has a lot of protein, vitamin E and magnesium. It is also great for weight loss.

Blueberry Oat Bars:
The good thing about this is that you can use fresh fruits to make a snack for your desserts or breakfast.
Ingredients:
For the filling
1 pint blueberries
1/4 cup honey
1/8 cup lemon juice
1/8 cup water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons corn starch and 2 tablespoons cold water
For the topping
3 cups rolled oats (not instant)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons coconut oil

Instruction:
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Oil the baking dish and set aside.
In a small sauce pan, bring the blueberries, honey, lemon juice, and water to a boil over medium high heat. When it boils, stir in the vanilla and corn starch mixture. Remove from heat and allow cooling. The mixture will thicken as it cools. Since you are using corn starch instead, you will have to stir the mixture a little longer as it cooks and thickens before you remove it from the heat.
Process 1 1/2 cup of the oats in your blender or food processor until they are a fine powder. Combine the processed oats, the remaining 1 1/2 cups of rolled oats, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and mix well.
Add the applesauce, honey, and vanilla and mix until everything is well combined. Add the coconut oil and use your hands to incorporate it into the mixture evenly. The oats mixture will be thick and resemble cookie dough.
Press about half of the mixture into the bottom of your baking dish. Press it down firmly so that it reaches the edges of the pan and forms an even bottom crust. Pour the blueberry mixture on top of the crust layer. Finally, sprinkle the rest of the oat mixture on top of the blueberry mixture in crumbles. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow to cool before cutting into squares. Store in the refrigerator.
