With the migration ban placed on some countries by the United State of America, spending your honeymoon in America might not be so feasible. If you are looking for a place filled with nature’s best, Africa is the continent to be. On the list are 12 of the best places to spend your honeymoon. You don’t have to take a loan to enjoy an amazing time at these places and you definitely won’t be faced with a lot of hassle getting a visa.

Egypt:
The third most populated country in Africa (after Nigeria and Ethiopia). It is located in the North-Eastern region of the continent. The Pyramid of Giza and Sphinx is one of the continent’s top tourist attractions and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is said to have been constructed before the birth of Christ; exactly 2560 BC. The pyramid complex is located at the outer city of Cairo, the country’s capital. It is an archaeological site that includes the 3 great pyramids. The Sphinx is in the form of a mythical creature with the head of a man and the body of a lion with a length of 238 feet. The best time to visit is August due to the tropical features of the area.


Malawi:
This African paradise is a landlocked country located in South Eastern part of the continent. It’s also known as the heart of Africa. This is one country that has not experienced a civil war before, with friendly locals who are easy going. This is one country to visit.

One amazing spot is Lake Malawi, a fresh Africa great lake which is one of the best in the continent. It is at the border of Mozambique and Tanzania. It is the second deepest and third largest lake in Africa and the ninth largest in the world. The lake is home to about 1000 species of fish (more than any other lake in the world), many of which are not common in other parts of the world, which makes it excellent for diving. Visitors can enjoy a ferry ride from different locations of the lake.


South Africa:
Besides the level of crime rate affecting the country, there seems to be something for everyone. If you love thrills, you could go mountain hiking or shark cage diving. If you are a lover of animals, visit Kruger national park; one of the largest game reserves in the world with 7523 miles. It is the habitat of 114 species of reptiles 50 fish species and 33 species of amphibians. You could visit the Boulders beach to take a look at thousand of penguins.


For a more interesting experience, you can take a blue train trip from Pretoria to Cape Town which comes with a 5 star experience of a butler and a lounge. For foodies, take a stroll to Dieu Donne Vineyards or enjoy tasty meat like ostrich and kudu (antelope). Table Mountain; a flat top mountain forming an aesthetic landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town using the aerial cable way. The mountain also forms part of the table mountain national park. Due to high visits by tourists, it’s one of the most visited places in the continent.


Zambia:
This is one country most known for its nature and culture. It has 18 breath taking waterfalls which includes the Victoria Falls (one of the 7 natural wonders of the world). This wonder is located between the boundary of Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is unarguably the largest water fall in the world; this conclusion comes from the combination of the height and weight together to form a single flowing sheet of water. The fall is best viewed from the Zambian side especially during the month of June and July because of the rainy season. While you are there, you can do some hiking or walk the trail along the top of the fall. It has vantage points such as the Devil’s pole, Livingstone Island and Falls Bridge.

Even though it’s one of the safe countries in Africa, it does have some witchcraft practices. Lusaka National Museum is one place to visit if you are lover of the arts. The country also celebrates a number of festivals during the year, one of which is called Kuomboka ceremony.


Botswana:
A well known feature of this country is its vast landscape. Visitors can have a feel of deserts, bush game reserves, rivers and salt pans. The Chobe river front has a high concentration of elephants, hippos and crocodiles. You could also get to see pride of lions at the savuti, alongside 500 bird species. The rare Black made Kalahari lion can also be found in this area as well as wild dogs and Aardvarks.

This is one country that has the most amazing national parks in the continent. Some of these parks include: Hwange National park, Manapools national park and Victoria Falls national park.

Namibia:
It is known for its vast desserts, it is also close to nature with a nice resort where you get a nice view of the Rhinos and dessert adapted Elephants. The land also has some intriguing plants such as the thousand year old Welwitschia plant or the sculptural form of the cacao boom tree. You can take a walk to the Etosha pan at the North of the country. It serves as a water basin when it rains and blindingly white saltpan when dry. You can also visit the indigenous Himba people who are known for long woven hair and covering themselves with paste to protect themselves against the sun and insects.

Kenya:
The acclaimed safari capital of the world, you should know what to expect, but there’s more. With several national parks and reserves for wildlife where you can watch the migration of over 2 million wildebeests. For your shopping, you can visit the Masai market where you can get colorful handmade foot wears, jewelries and artworks. Not forgetting the beaches, Diani beach is one of the best where the warm ocean has silver sands to go with it.

Seychelles:
This is a beautiful island country made up of 115 islands located by the India Ocean. North Island is one of the islands that really stands out in this region, with the breath taking view of the blue water and white sandy beaches. The country as a whole is home to some of the world’s largest turtles, which can easily be seen from the beaches.

Mozambique:
You can hike through the forests to have a feel of the landscape. Take a dive into one of the 5 main islands of the Bazaruto Island to see Dolphins, Coral Reef, Manta rays, Turtles and Whale sharks. This is one country rich in culture and festivals, visitors can join them in the Pico dance of the Makonde people or enjoy nightlife in Maputo, the capital of the country.

Tanzania:
The most well known feature of the country is the Serengeti National Park, one of the natural wonders of Africa. It is an Eco system with the zebras, crocodiles and antelopes, just to mention a few. The landscape includes woodland, savannahs, grasslands and forests. An estimate of 350,000 people visit the Serengeti park each year. Ngorongoro is another wonder to behold. You can have a feel of wildlife at the Gombe stream national park.

The country also boosts of the famous Kilimanjaro Mountain with a peak of 19,000 feet above sea level, you can test your hiking skills on this, but it would take you at least 6 days to get to the peak of it. At the end of the day, you can relax at the main island of Zanzibar, located at the Indian ocean of the country. It is popular was its beautiful setting as well as interesting history. It was known for spices and ivory during the era of the slave trade. The stone town of Zanzibar is a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the island’s biggest tourist attractions. You will enjoy the turtle blue waters and many deserted island when taking those clear shots with the camera.

Uganda:
Due to its history, it doesn’t have a lot of tourists as crowd. It has a lot of landscape ranging from mountains, rain forests and rivers. You can visit the Bwindi national park, to take a look at endangered gorillas in their national habitat or the Kibale Forest park that has the highest number of primates (including chimpanzees) in east Africa. You can also hike up the Ruwenzori Mountain towards the snow cap peaks or water rafting in River Nile.
