When the depth of Africa whispers at night
The moon kissed its surface with its light
Her still water trapped in scales of ice
To unveil the reflection of life in our eyes
Beneath her bossom lies the bank of African wealth
Beneath her belly rise the hope we felt
Her sanctuary flourishes the life of cold creatures
And her ecstasy nourishes the treasure chest of natures
Gracing its minerals like a timeless piece of art
Racing across her border to unite African hearts
Oh! her dance splash splash splash
Blurring our shorelines for a moment
Oh! her beauty flash flash flash
In an endless melody of sonnet
How can I find rest in the story her tides tell?
For it quenches the thirst of the black tales
Her drops fills the well of wisdom we strive
As our ancestors rode on the wave of life
Spilling me the secret of the great passage
When it blazes the trails of the White voyage
At 18th, it surged my kind in Atlantic Ocean
At 20th, I regain my right and its portion
In the tranquil waters of Africa, we'll rise
For her strength held the boat of our merchandise
Oh! let's remember remember remember
That what was once mine was mined
Oh! in her chamber chamber chamber
Our freedom spread the coast of Nile
Finally, I heard the cool breeze humming her presence
And I felt the bubbling sea confessing her essence
For who can resist the beauty of Victoria Falls?
Nor interrupt the rage of Kalambo Falls
For who can stand the height of Tugela Falls?
Nor withhold the width of Owa Falls?
For her push and pull plays the strings of African music
Washing off footprint of memories like African magic
For her courage colors the rainbows of African stream
Sprinkling alive the hope of African dream
Oh! my Africa water I drink drink drink
To fertile the soil of my heartbeats
Oh! my Africa music I sing sing sing
To sail the songs of Afrobeats
