MY NIGERIAN DREAM
I was born in a country
Of green land and mystery
Chants and songs of history
Are sang in the evening under the tree
While children and elders in threes
Eat and drink to enjoy the blowing breeze
Nigeria is my country of dream
I grow up to explore all realm
From North, East, South and West
There's nothing we see as a waste
Our dishes are always the best
Ask the white man for the taste
Here's a land where the igbos eats eba
Not minding if garri doesn't last forever
The hausa families molds tuwo
Gives to Strangers, two or more
The yoruba laughs and said, amala
Is my best meal, even in dala
My country of dream and diversity
We care and love each other in the University
Let my people go isn't generosity
You know what I'm saying if you enter a city
Like Jos, orphans are treated and handled with pity
Minding not, if they bowed or worship trinity
A country of young and talents
Let's shun fights and violence
There's no point in keeping the silence
In a nation that needs guidance
From grass to grace I see through my lens
My Nigerian dream will soon be licenced.
