Unveiling Self

Identity shrouded, a mystery's haze,
Is it me, she, he, or him's refrain?
In this intricate dance, our existence sways,
A world so fickle, defined by names.

Words wield power, shape our realm,
Dictated by their silent decree,
Yet within us, defiance takes the helm,
A spirit unburdened, longing to be free.

Not confined to they/them's sphere,
We are more than mere pronouns worn,
Dignity and grace, ever clear,
Elegance shines, individual, reborn.

Rejecting the confines of societal script,
Peculiar, unique, our essence true,
A quintessential soul, vividly equipped,
We embrace ourselves, shining through.
