Women influence men significantly. I realized this when a mother asked her son to fetch a cane to discipline his younger sister for disrespecting him. It's clear that the sister had been consistently rude to him. However, allowing the brother to physically punish her is wrong; it should be the mother's responsibility to correct her behavior.

This situation could lead the brother to believe it's acceptable to use violence against women who disrespect or insult him, potentially turning him into an abuser in the future. I believe that in such cases, the mother should address the wrongdoing, rather than permitting physical discipline, especially at a young age. This could normalize violence in their lives and carry into their future relationships.

In the future, if the sister faces abuse from her husband, it's unlikely the brother will defend her. He might say, "You deserve it," due to the normalization of violence in their upbringing.
