Tell(h)er
She counts on it
She recounts times
She heard it
Worth many dimes
Blown over each time
You tell her
Down each time
You deny her
She keeps it
Safe in her vaults
She needs it
To correct her faults
You knew she had it--
Adorned inwards
Has she heard it
Affirmed in words?
She is beautiful
She is bold
She is dutiful
She is gold
Tell her
She is gorgeous
She is smart
She is courteous
She is bright
Tell her
Is she your daughter?
Tell her
Is she your sister?
Tell her
Tell her
Words she recounts as cash
Tell her
Words that rids her of trash
Tell her
Not the harsh
Is she your trainee?
Tell her.
Is she your mentee?
Tell her.
To keep her in check
You need to tell her
To guarantee her a pay cheque
You need to tell her
Like the Teller, she is
She counts and recounts
She checks and rechecks
She keeps vaults
Like the Teller
She is in her cubicle
Her reclusive corner
Often subject to ridicule
She is around you
She is your neighbour
She is a girl
Lift her, don't break her
Help her up, don't pull her down
Tell her! She needs your words.
