If you only talk to God when you need help, your altar will always feel like an emergency room.
If only we'll realize that God is a not an ATM machine that's only visited when there's a need for supply.
If you treat him like that, He'll answer you like that.
A prayer altar is built by consistency, don't just visit Him at times convenient to you,dwell in His presence always.

Man, this one hit kinda hard. I've definitely been guilty of treating prayer like my last resort instead of my first instinct. It's so easy to only reach out when things are falling apart and then wonder why it feels distant the rest of the time.
