Title:The Unavoidable
Poet: Margaret Paul

Hearts skip a beat
When the thought of you
Crosses on
Fear seizes the inner being
At calling to mind
Of your eminence

The Unavoidable one
The unwanted follower
The uninvited guest
The parambulating emissary
That must come
When time is ripe

Sure,
Your coming is with prior notices
The mingling of hair
The aches
The waist curve
The wrinkling facially first
The loss of youthful looks
Exuberance
Radiance and strength,
Total loss of the former
A replacement with an odd latter

The inability to run away
From one's shadow
Makes you Unavoidable!
