BLACK CHILD

The bigger they get, the deeper the mystery unfolds
Life was a sure bet, coz nothing found was untold
Now it's like a movie set, just pretending to be bold
Nod your head if you get, and make sure the smiles can be sold

Fake it till you make it, we greatly instill
So we feel good for a little bit, then time goes still
Hearts skip a beat, and life no longer has its thrill
Some struggle to keep fit, others bury the pain with a pill

Life's a journey they said, and you've got to keep up the sail
But I'm just looking to be paid, emphasising on my quail
Money has become the gate, to all who don't want to fail
And this far I've strayed, so it would be foolish to bail
