ECDYSIS: A Testament Of Judas

Your arm's not so far out from the one
that'll betray you,
the reason we keep at “arm's length", not further
A cubit and half a span, the murder
scaled to a perfect math so precision could be attained on a brother
Bread dipped in a bowl of lentils,
the Messiah
needing less lunging to pass on a piece
30 pieces of silver jingling in a bag of hide,
sold a man by his lover a kiss

So preach to me about Judas and I could
sketch out his visage:
A little plump girl with the countenance
of angels,
her dinky glasses soaked in the tint of
burgundy; her age
- a dozen, half a dozen and two
A little shy of bimillennials from AD 2002

I know it's unorthodox,
the way that I pen down my testament,
the parables I've inked in an ancient tongue
The letters I've left cryptic,
parchments of the original manuscript sealed
with both pitch and gum
A labyrinth of secrets;
bunkers bearing on them the scent of dust,
the cellars still choking with
the pungency of gunpowder and that stinging
whiff of rum

I never imagined I'll make this text a referral:
“How you have fallen O Lucifer!"
I never imagined how
quickly your light would fade into worlds infernal;
how quickly hell could be
kindled in your soul and how its flames could
burn on eternal
But speak of the devil...and there she is
- a disaster all coiled up to happen

(...music interlude...)

Myth has it that you were hatched from the
egg of a prehistoric creature,
of one sung in our folklore; a product of both
man and beast:
A stillborn upon whom the goddess rested her
unchastity,
and on the waters her serpentine cyst

Little wonder why you
worm your way into every heart like a
grub on rampage
Victims diseased and rotten with the stench of
your foul spirit,
decay on all asking for your hand in marriage

It's just amazing how humans transform,
then let alone spirits;
taking up bodies to exercise their will,
flesh and bones to host a legion;
fangs out and venomous, dipped in a potion to
perfect a kill
So in awe I watched you moult into another
glorious body;
an ecdysis
into a more wicked spirit wearing your face
