TEARS OF A NATION...

The night is dark, the streets are bare,
The silence broken only by despair.
The people rise, their voices loud,
Demanding change, demanding proud.
They march in peace, they march in love,
With hope that justice will be proved.

But then the violence starts to rise,
The darkness grows before our eyes.
The blood runs red, the streets run cold,
The people cry, their hopes now old.
The light of hope is dimmed so low,
The people's cries no one will know.
But still they fight, they will not yield,
Their voices strong, their purpose real.
They will not stop until they see,
The change they need, the world they dream.
The journey long, the road is hard,
But they will march 'til it is scarred,
With memories of all that's past,
A history not soon to last.

For change will come, it's only time,
Until then, the people will rhyme,
Their voices strong, their hearts so bold,
Their cause will never grow old.
The sun will rise, the dawn will bring,
A new day, with hope to sing.
So though the night may seem so dark,
The morning sun will play its part,
And when the light shines once again,
The people's dream will find its end.
The peace will reign, the violence cease,
The people's hopes will find release.
And when we look back on this day,
We'll say "the people had their say".
The fight went on, they did not yield,
They marched for change, their voices pealed.
Their courage strong, their will so bold,
Their story now, forever told.

THEME: 20-10-2020 TITLE: THE BLOODY MASSACRE The bloody massacre day We do remember the date 20-10-2020 Where some hopes were shattered into pieces It all happened at the Lekki Toll gate bridge Where many protesters came and never left Instead, had their bodies slept lifeless Oh! Some families left in pains and distress Some friends broke down in tears Citizens lost faith in the goverment All because of #End sars# protest Arise O' Compatriots We celeberate your courage in posthumous As it is exactly three years you are gone We remember the good deeds you've done Hoping the present and coming generation would fight for what is just You carried your patriotic spirit to the point of death We assume you aren't dead but you slept And that's why we pray you have a peaceful rest! #END SARS PROTEST# #20-10-2020# #RIP# BLACK_EBONY
