GRIEF I

Every man and his cross
Some bad, worse, some worst
what no man could ever imagine
I wept bitter tears, died
severe deaths such that
every resurrection severed
the severeness. I only sat calmly
and watched as time
wore away my soul .

I'm tired of it all!
Why does a man have
to harbor everyone's
misfortunes? I'm neither
their Adam nor Eve
I'm but a son of this century
grown old by what
life does.

I do not cry for myself,
Que sera sera, I only screamed
when the hen threatens to
go with a few chicks and
forsake the Cock. "By the
one you cry to, I mean not
to harm".
I couldn't suck it up
no more -it rained .

Only the one shared is solved
What say, O' Lord of the heavens,
of the unutterable? I'm afraid
I scream some more and wake
the dwellers of the ground.
I may survive or may not
or may be to none; I have no
prayers, no wishes to make
I'm already a man of whatever
life decides
