I AM A TRUE NIGERIAN
In the land of vibrant colors and cultures diverse,
I stand tall, a true Nigerian, my heritage to nurse.
From the drums that beat to the rhythms of our land,
To the stories told by elders, rich and grand.
I am the spirit of resilience, unyielding and strong,
Enduring challenges, through the rights and wrongs.
With a heart that beats to the sound of unity's call,
I embrace the diversity that makes us stand tall.
From the lush green forests to the savannah's vast,
I am connected to this land, linked by memories that last.
A true Nigerian, I inherit the blessings of the past,
And with each passing day, my loyalty is steadfast.
With an unwavering faith, I hold the torch of hope,
As I navigate the waves of life, never to mope.
I am the essence of hospitality, warm and kind,
Welcoming visitors with arms open wide.
With a love for jollof and pounded yam on my plate,
I savor the flavors that define our cultural tape.
From Lagos to Abuja, Kano to Port Harcourt's shore,
I am a true Nigerian, forever wanting more.
In the face of adversity, I rise with grace,
Embracing the challenges, leaving no trace.
I am a beacon of progress, forging a better way,
For my fellow Nigerians, come what may.
Rich in history, art, and literary tradition,
I am a true custodian, upholding the mission.
To share our stories, our struggles, and our gains,
For a better future, where prosperity remains.
With a passion for football, our unifying game,
I cheer for Super Eagles, with unbridled flame.
In victory or defeat, I stand by their side,
For the love of Nigeria, my heart filled with pride.
So, what makes me a true Nigerian, you may ask?
It's the spirit within me, a flame that'll forever last.
For our beloved nation, I'll strive, I'll aspire,
A true Nigerian, destined to inspire.
