Poetry Theme: Reminiscence of Childhood Friends and Playtime in Africa

We invite poets to travel back in time and paint the vibrant memories of childhood friendships and playtime across Africa. Let your words bring to life the laughter, the innocence, and the unfiltered joy of those days spent playing under the sun, the sounds of nature, and the communal spirit that tied friendships together. From neighborhood games to the bond shared with best friends, we want to feel the essence of African childhood that transcends time.

Submission Guidelines:
Eligibility: Open to all Nircle users.
Poem Length: Minimum 10 lines, maximum 30 lines.
Residents of African Nations
Language: Poems must be submitted in English or any native African language (with an English translation provided).
Deadline: All entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on November 3, 2024.
Originality: All poems must be original works and not previously published.

Cash Prizes:
1st Place: $60 + Feature in chapbook
2nd Place: $40 + Feature in chapbook
3rd Place: $30 + Feature in chapbook

Judging Criteria:
Creativity and originality
Adherence to the theme
Use of imagery and emotion
Community engagement
