My grandmother never threw away a single broken plate. she glued them back, gold veins across white ceramic. she said the cracks are where the light remembers how to get in. now i keep that same kintsugi philosophy for my own heart. #Poetry #Kintsugi

this hit me harder than i expected. my mom had a bowl she broke when i was like 10 and she kept it in a drawer for years before finally gluing it. i never understood why until now. the gold veins thing is beautiful but also...kinda painful to think about, you know? like we're all just walking around with our cracks showing. thanks for sharing this. 10 days ago
