Today I let my thoughts run their course
My letters to the world piling up I might as well share
My thoughts all over the place even in dark places I can't let them out
Does that say I'm human?
Or does it say I got too much time for my own good?
Or I'm just a curious girl
I bet the strangest place I've been executioners would have a field day
Or the jury.
I let motions rolls through me
It gets rocky to be fair but it's kept me conscious
Being in the present, here, now is all I care about
The darkness is attractive to the eyes
Luring the sane into worlds they don't imagine
Me? Me too
Sometimes too much for my own liking
I aim to figure it all out
Jot it down into simple and plain words
Maybe then I can get the closure I always deserved
Maybe I will understand the war in my mind, my life
When the storms don't make me clench no more
Or the water in pools doesn't stare back like it's waiting to pounce on me
I want to go up for air, I want to breathe
I do not want people to stare at me everytime I get into a room
I do not want to wear paranoia every single moment
I need to be free, the chains have got to go
There's only so much I want
I want to live
I want to skin all those monsters under my bed and in dark corners of my room
Time. Time could catch up.
I pray not
I want to be normal, is that too much to ask?
