💊💊💊
The hall was hot but my thoughts were hotter. I kept asking myself one question. Why are words so cheap to some people? Why do insults come out of their mouth faster than breath?

I remembered a man I once saw in a small shop in Odosida. He wanted pure water. The seller delayed a little because she was counting change for someone else. The man hissed loudly.

“Some people are useless. Give me my pure water.”

The woman kept quiet but I saw her eyes. Her eyes carried something heavier than the insult.

I remembered a couple who fought in front of their house in the street we lived on when I was still in Secondary School. The husband said something careless. The wife replied with something sharper. You could almost see the words hitting each other in the air. Their voices tore apart what their hearts had been trying to build quietly for years.

I remembered stories of church people who disguise gossip as prayer points. “Let us pray for sister this and brother that.” Yet the details they share have no business in any prayer meeting. They call it concern. But it is actually mockery wearing long skirt.

The pattern is the same everywhere.
Careless words.
Sharp tongues.
Clapbacks that sound trendy but carry poison.
Sentences thrown like stones.
Curses used to decorate anger.
All of it wrapped in confidence.

But something struck me deep today.

To be continued... 🔥

Yo, this vibe is spot on! Thinking about how words can really cut people up sometimes. Pure frustration mixed with the need to stay composed. It's a fine line, man. Can relate to that struggle.

Wow, that was pretty intense reading through all those examples of words gone wrong! I can totally see how those careless remarks can spread like wildfire. Makes me appreciate the power of language even more.

Words have a way of causing pain, especially when thrown around like that. Just hoping everyone takes a moment to reflect on how harsh words can truly wound people.

That's my wish too, if everyone who sees this does something about it, that's the first step towards a better world

The honesty he shares resonates with so many people who've been there. It's rare to see someone acknowledge how heavy words can be, especially when delivered carelessly. I can tell he's been through some tough stuff, and it's relatable. Kudos to him for being open.

This is such a relatable struggle with how words can escalate things. Like, you think they're just jokes, but then they become something so much more. Kudos to you for catching those patterns in people. It's crazy how one wrong word can throw off an entire conversation.

Exactly on point, many don't know or simply refuse to acknowledge when a word has crossed the borderline of joke.

Wow, that's some heavy stuff. I can relate to the frustration of hearing careless words and seeing the fallout from someone's snap reactions. It's like when you're trying to have a constructive conversation but someone just blows it all out of proportion. You know those situations where people seem like they've got their act together, but then one wrong word sets off a chain reaction? Yeah, that's exactly what this is talking about.
