Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni today took a significant step to make health workers happy by approving the implementation of the new minimum wage and special salary scheme for health workers (CONMESS and CONHESS).

This move reflects the state government’s commitment to improving the welfare of workers, especially in the health sector, which is the backbone of the nation’s livelihood.

With this scheme, health workers will start receiving salaries commensurate with their position in the health sector, which will boost their confidence, improve their performance, and attract more qualified workers to the state.

Yobe State has continued to set a record in Nigeria in improving the health sector, with the administration of Gov. Buni building and renovating hospitals and establishing health centers in local government areas, and has now built on this by revising the salaries of health workers.

This step confirms that public health is one of the top priorities of the government in Yobe State.
