Yobe State, under the leadership of His Excellency the Executive Governor H.E Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, has topped the 2024 Subnational Efficacy Index, according to a report by the Paradigm Leadership Support Initiative (PLSI).

The Paradigm Leadership Support Initiative (PLSI), a public service improvement organization in Nigeria, has once again ranked Yobe State as the best performing state in the 2024 Subnational Audit Efficacy (SAE) Index.

Following the assessment and evaluation conducted by the organization on the level of transparency and accountability in the use of public funds and the implementation of public policies across the 36 states of Nigeria, Yobe State under the leadership of Governor Buni is the first in ensuring the quality and well-being of the people of the state.

The SAE Survey figures show that Yobe State is consistent in providing and maintaining quality services that are in line with public opinion, transparent and accountable policies, making it an outstanding example for other states in Nigeria.

The SAE PLSI assessment system is designed to assess the performance of Nigerian states on key aspects of public accountability and to initiate and implement audit reports by key stakeholders.

The index marks Yobe as the first state to promote accountability among the people, ensuring efficient use of resources for the benefit of the people and the welfare of the people of the state.

The Director of PLSI, Olusegun Elemo, while speaking at the launch of the 2024 Index, confirmed that: “Our SAE index is a technology that reflects the transformational nature and strengthens public trust, the success of Yobe State shows that it has given all other states a leg up in the management of financial and natural resources.” He said.

This success of Yobe State lies in the commitment of Governor Buni to ensure good governance and transparency in government activities.
