Applauded his immense support in reviving primary health care.
The Yobe State Primary Health Care Board Potiskum Local Government Chapter honored the executive chairman of Potiskum local government Hon. Salisu Muktari with the "Award of Honor".
The local government co-ordinator of Yobe State Primary Health Care Board Potiskum Chapter Abdulrahman Musa accompanied by primary health care workers with the cooperation of World Health Organization (WHO) officials handed over the award to the chairman at the main hall of the local government secretariat (Potiskum local government council chamber).
During the presentation of the award, the Potiskum Primary Health Care Board Co-ordinator Abdulrahman Musa, testified that:
"We have achieved many achievements in the field of primary health care, and all the achievements have been achieved as a result of the good work and support we receive from the leadership of our Potiskum Local Government chairman Hon. Salisu Muktari.
"Our local government is now the local government with the highest level of performance in primary health care activities among the 17 local government areas of Yobe state. We have achieved this success because of the support and cooperation we receive from the local government chairman as he is working tirelessly to ensure that health is improved in Potiskum local government.
"we must present this medal of honor to the executive chairman Hon. Salisu Muktari According to his dedication and support to the local government in reviving health care at the first level." Abdulrahman testified
Also the executive chairman of Potiskum, Hon. Salisu Muktari praised the leadership of Yobe State Primary Health Care Board Potiskum Chapter for the courage and dedication they are showing in ensuring the good health care system for the people of Potiskum local government.
"I pay tribute to the efforts of our entire employees of Potiskum local government, especially our primary health care unit workers, certainly the primary health care workers have played an important role to see that health is revived in Potiskum local government area.
"I am using this opportunity to call on you and encourage you to continue to carry out your work in an orderly and efficient manner, and I assure you of our full support in developing the health sector as you are the first step in dealing with the issues of health in Potiskum communities.
"I and all my staff and followers are very happy and we appreciate and will be proud of the gifts we received from you as part of our recognition for the great contribution we have made to the development of primary health care in the local government.
"I am calling on our employees from all levels to be obedient and courageous in carrying out their duties, so that with unity we will continue to produce achievements that will make us proud as a whole." Horn. Salisu Muktari said.
The chairman of the local government was involved in ensuring that a good management system was created where he emphasized the intention of his government to provide full support in the health sector and other sectors in the local government area.
