Yobe State under the leadership of His Excellency the Executive Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN has filled the gap left by the Boko Haram insurgency that has plagued the state for over a decade.

Yobe State is among the states that have suffered significant setbacks during the years of Boko Haram insurgency, which has undermined any efforts to continue to develop a sound governance system in all aspects of governance during the years of Boko Haram insurgency in the region.

Since the 2019 elections, which resulted in the victory of His Excellency the Executive Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, as the elected governor of Yobe State, peace has begun to return to Yobe State, and in a short period of time the state has recorded 0% terrorist attacks, this success was achieved following the determination of Governor Buni.

Following the return of good peace in a short period of time, the governor focused on the rehabilitation of state government facilities and properties destroyed by Boko Haram terrorists across the entire Yobe state. Under this, he also succeeded in repatriating many displaced persons to their hometowns as a result of the good peace and rehabilitation of government properties.

The governor also focused on the rehabilitation and modernisation of vital sectors, including schools, hospitals, markets and others. Also in the health sector, before the end of his first term, he established 138 active primary healthcare facilities across the 17 local government areas of Yobe State.

The governor has also excelled in the provision of development projects, including the repair and re-construction of numerous new roads across the state, which has almost completely eliminated the majority of road problems in the state, as he has provided roads in areas that have long struggled to find roads to improve their transportation.

Yobe State has now made up for the years of challenges it has faced from the Boko Haram insurgency that has plagued the state, as the governor has now laid the foundation for the construction of 178 access roads that will help develop and facilitate trade between villages and towns of Yobe State.

Governor Buni is committed to strengthening and reviving the scary state of Yobe into a vibrant state full of pride.
