The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency the Executive Governor H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, has taken a significant step to promote business and vocational education in the state through partnership and collaboration with the Moroccan government.

A strong delegation led by the Secretary to the Yobe State Government (SSG), Baba Malam Wali MNI, has already arrived in Morocco to seek a partnership with the country on the development of business and vocational education across Yobe State.

The Yobe State Governor is also expected to meet the delegation in Morocco later, where he will lead the state delegation to the Moroccan government to forge a partnership that is expected to bring significant benefits to Yobe State through economic growth, job creation, and quality vocational education.

Since the inception of the administration of His Excellency Governor Buni, a state of emergency was imposed on education to provide a sound system for the management and development of education in Yobe State, under which the state has successfully renovated schools, built new schools, and improved the teaching methodology.

The partnership that will now be established will provide a new vocational training program in schools in the state that will enable students to gain effective skills in the area of self-reliance and have an impact on the state economy.

The partnership will also provide a great boost to the agricultural sector as the partnership will discuss ways to develop and modernise agriculture to revive the economy and create self-reliance across Yobe.

Governor Buni has excelled in providing partnerships and strategies that will help in creating sustainable development in Yobe State.
