The Yobe State Government under the leadership of His Excellency the Executive Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, in collaboration with MCRP, has completed the construction of a modern market in Ngalda, Fika LGA.
The construction of this market is part of Governor Buni’s drive to develop the economy, promote business, create jobs and expand economic activities and self-reliances across Yobe State.
The market project includes a cluster of shops, a butchery, a well-equipped livestock market, a large mosque and a market manager’s area.
Ngalda Market is one of the largest markets in southern part of Yobe state that hosts traders from almost all parts of Nigeria, and it is a market that faces challenges especially during the rainy season due to poor management.
The governor has taken the initiative to modernize the market and consolidate the livestock market into one place to address the problems faced by traders and provide them with a sound management system in terms of security and all aspects of business in this market.
Governor Buni is known for developing the economy through the revival and modernization of the markets across Yobe State.
