The Yobe State Primary Healthcare Board, in partnership with Potiskum Local Government Area under the leadership of Hon. Salisu Muktari, has provided solar-powered panels, charge controllers, and other solar power generation equipment.
The Yobe State PHC Board, under the leadership of the Executive Secretary, Hon. Babagana Kundi Machina, has provided 20 solar panels, a Felicity 7.5KVA, a charge controller of 120 Amp, 40 meters of PV cable (10mm), a charge over connector, bolts and notes, a cable connector (25mm, 10 meters), a breaker, trunking pipes, and 10 PV cable connectors.
On his part, the executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, took charge of the installation of all 20 solar-powered panels, the transportation of all the materials received from the PHC Board, and personal support for the PHC Board to encourage the health workers of Potiskum local government area.
The Deputy Coordinator of Potiskum Local Government Area Primary Healthcare Board, Dr. Dogo Lawan, and the Supervisor Councilor of Health Hon. Musa Dahiru led the team to the delivery of these materials to the Primary Healthcare of Dogon-tebo Ward, Potiskum LGA, to commence the installation of the panels and other works that will generate electricity using solar energy.
“We actually received these materials from the Yobe State Primary Healthcare Board under the leadership of Hon. Babagana Kundi Machina, where we received full support to ensure this project from our Potiskum LGA chairman, Hon. Salisu Muktari.
“This is definitely an initiative to provide patients with a good system and reliable power and water, also we stand firm to ensure the feasibility of the project. Hon. Salisu Muktari is responsible for all these in his commitment to ensuring the commitment of the Yobe State government under the leadership of His Excellency the executive Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, to providing a good management system in the health sector." He said.
He also commended the executive chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area for his commitment and excellent contribution to improving the healthcare of the community.
