Word Weighty

The weight of our words is their value
In decisions, actions and consequences
The words, counsel and advice
Which fall carelessly from your lips
Could be gold or silver in another's conflicted thoughts or valley of anguished decision

You never know the hour or day when those words spoken in passing were the final thing needed in a forever decision for lasting impact
Or the final death knell towards life long consequence
Your words are heavy either for goodly excellence or deplorable evil

Think well before you utilize the stocked armoury of the tongue
For once the ammunition goes forth, there is no retrieval or 'mission abort'
It goes to hurt or heal; build up or destroy; encourage or discourage; embrace or betray; rejoice with or cause sorrow; make whole or break down

Better still, weigh your words before you let them fly
Place them in your heart and mind and hands and measure their worth in life weight and see whether they pull down like a brick in deep waters or let rise as cotton-like rain clouds on a sunny day

Word weighty - What is the worth of your words?
Do people lean in to hear words of wisdom
Like raindrops that cause the flowers to blossom?
Or do they scoff at the careless ramblings and ravings like one high on coke or in the throws of strong liqueur?

Did your words drop dead weight like iron blocks or lift high like featherweights?
Will they do the same in another's heart and mind, spirit and soul
And make the difference for good or for evil?
Or will they be cast off for nosy banter, useless talk and endless drama
Choose wisely how you wield your sword
To soothe and comfort or to slash and burn

Our words are weighted and measured
An insignia. A seal. A tool.
A stamp and record of oral history for ages to come
What will you be known for?
Words that inflamed, Incensed, angered or a'vexed
Or words that comforted, uplifted, soothed and unified
Choose wisely and weigh your words
That you may stand firmly as light On destiny's right side
