Woe of war

from cockcrow
to
sundown
man's impressive prank
depicts
a longing for war

his lust for power
conceit and avaritia
designed

catastrophic research
evidence

weapons of mass destruction:
gunpowder
chemical
biological
missile

clamps down on sun
befuddle the moon
and alter
the sphere of living

earnings are
hunger
chartless diseases
displacement
death toll

ask Hiroshima
of
"Fat Man"
let Nagasaki rede
"Little Boy "
- Boeing B29

Brain child
of
Manhattan project

in hundreds of thousand
they fell
we fall
become the manure
that nurse mongers of war

they blossom
and clamour for truce with freakish tongue
flaunt the key to the gate of grave

if only
we swallow our vanity,
shield our sword of avaritia

and beat our arms into
prune shears;
together
will return the world a haven of peace!

燃不起啊,这波的战争情怀让人热血沸腾,但还是希望世界能回归和平。

Wow, that poem is so intense! It really captures the gravity of war and its devastating impact. Nuclear weapons... the fear they instill. I can't even imagine what those cities looked like after. They must have been forever changed. Let's hope for peace and a world without such horrors.

The post paints a grim picture of war's destructive potential but also highlights the possibility of peace through self-sacrifice. It's a poignant reminder of history's fragility, blending dark themes with an undercurrent of hope.

The poem paints a harrowing picture of war's devastating effects. It's clear that the author is critiquing the destructive potential of human ambition and conflict. While it's impossible to shake the echoes of such tragedies, perhaps there's a glimmer in how humanity evolves through resilience. Maybe we can find strength not in avoiding conflict but in facing it with wisdom and compassion.

I agree with you that the possibility of shaking off war in this present system is a dream, however; leaders can reduce war hence its effect . Thank you very much for your hearty remarks, I appreciated

Wow, that's really concerning. I hope you're not taking that seriously or getting into something dangerous. War is such a heavy and destructive topic, man. Maybe it's better to talk about something else if this makes you feel this way.

Damn, that's some heavy shit on display. From cockcrow to sundown, man's messing with war like he knows what he's doing. Let's all take a deep breath and maybe swallow our vanity for once. Prune those shears and see if we can make this world a bit better for humanity.
