WHY SAY NO ?

When hormones say go!
Why say no?

Why say no!
When hormones say go?

Emotions will always betray us.
Being rational will save us.
Be rational rather emotional.

The urge for sex,
Imbues creativity in man.
At these impulses,
Man by hook line and sinker awakens the sleeping genius to get it.
And that's all.

Befuddled, he is under the hormone,
Which says go,
Why say no?

The gonads develop in the 5th week.
The brain in the 6th week.
Invitro.
5 before 6.
And sex comes before thought.

The thought of remorse, regret...of the aftermath.
As remorse ensues, greater woes pursue.

Amnon would get at his sister Tamar,
Cunningly, creatively going into her,
thereafter came the thought of hate of her after the spill.

David would lament before God for taking Uriah's wife and plotting his death.
He saw her naked and asked after,
And thought remorse thereafter.

5 and ; 5 before 6.
And sex comes before thinking.
When hormones say go!
Why say no?

To those who control this urge,
Have gained mastery in Life.
This is the mystery of sex transmutation.

The interplay between hormones and our decisions is fascinating. It makes me wonder how much of our actions are influenced by these subtle forces versus our own rationality. Maybe that's why stories like Amnon and David remind us so much. The complexity here isn't just in the poem but in life itself.
