Taking advice is good... In fact, it's the one of best things when making decisions. However, who do you take advices from??
First, you need to understand that there are different kinds of people...
📌 The smiling foxes : they'd hold a dagger behind their bright smile and speak so animatedly that you will think they have your best interest in mind. However, deep down all they want is your downfall. What kind of advice do you think such a person can give you?
Unfortunately, their intentions are hard to figure out, so it's very easy to fall into their trap. This is why it is very important to weigh your options properly and set your priorities straight....
📌 The storytellers : these people are the ones that thinks that they had gone through hell and their life experience alone is enough to learn from. For this kind of people, they're neither good or bad. Just that learning form them depends on your own IQ. They will not directly advice you, rather take references from past stories.
But, you need to remember that a decision that favoured another person may not favour you. At the end of the day, you still need to think carefully after listening to the story.
The funny part is, the stories can be good or bad. Good, in the sense that it may alleviate some burdens in your heart and make you feel lighter. Bad in the sense that, it may distract you till you forget your important problem and make you focus on the gossip 😅
📌 The commanders : They're the ones that will make decisions for you in the name of advising you. These are the most pretentious and horrible kind of people. When you approach these people for advice, they'd insist that you do what they said...
If you refuse, you'd become their enemy. Moreover, if your later decision failed, they'd be the first to mock you for being stupid...
If you listen to them and the plan works, they'd see themselves as your lord and try to control every part of your life. However, if the plan failed, they'd tell you that they never forced you to take the decision, it was your choice to make that decision, hence you have no right to blame them 🤷
📌 Finally, I want to remind you that foolish people grow up and grow old. A person's age does not determine their intelligence, just because they're old does not make them wiser. Hence, after every advises, sit quietly and set your priorities straight!!!
Your load is yours to carry. Nobody will solve your problems except you 💪
