At 8 years old, she could set up her makeup unassisted and it would look look professional. Her dream? To become one of the biggest names in the fashion world. You could see her practicing speeches, catwalking, performing in front of the mirror at every little chance she gets. From that little age, she could see so far into her future.
Obsessed with her dream,by her early twenties, she began to see the world differently. Those dreams started fading away, losing her confidence, losing her spark, the journey was not an easy one, graced with the enthusiast of a child, for no one taught or prepared her for the tough fights ahead. As she grew, life's negatives tried tainting her dreams—friends turned fowls, love turned hate, cheers now turned to woos.
Surrounded by a lot of negatives and a misunderstanding of life, taking bites from her dreams—distracted, confused, she walked the ups and downs of the most challenging years of any human being. But! In those times met with the good, the bad, the ugly, sharing experiences, meeting new and different people with different personalities, she took it upon herself to sharpen her dream her life and knowledge (education) while still trying to fan her now little fire to achieve her dreams.
Holding her head high, she scaled and excelled through these times, winning and losing, breaking and fixing her crown, learning the good, the bad, and the ugly. Now 24 years old, she looked back, having gained relevant knowledge. She still had the fire burning to take charge of her life and build on her dreams to become the lady in her dreams.
Amidst the whispers of doubt and skepticism, she took a daring step—enrolling to become a model, a direct manifestation of her lifelong dream to conquer the fashion world. This decision, met with raised eyebrows and mocking glances from those who doubted her, fueled her determination.
The pivotal moment arrived when she stepped onto the runway for the first time, a moment that held the promise of proving her skeptics wrong. However, the universe seemed to conspire against her. Midway down the catwalk, a stumble turned into a tumble, and she found herself on the cold, unforgiving runway.
Laughter erupted from the audience, echoing in her ears as she fought the embarrassment and the sting of failure. This could have been the moment that shattered her spirit, confirming the doubts of those who never believed in her. Yet, in the face of humiliation, she rose.
With a fierce determination, she turned that fall into a metaphorical ascent. Every laugh fueled her resolve. Instead of retreating, she stood tall, brushed off the mishap, and completed the walk with grace. The laughter that initially seemed like a weapon against her dreams became the applause of her resilience.
This defining moment not only solidified her commitment to her dream but also showcased her ability to turn setbacks into stepping stones. The runway stumble became a chapter in her story, a testament to her unwavering spirit and resilience against the judgment of those who had once cheered but now jeered.
Now 30 years of age, she was ready to dive into the reality of her dreams (the Industry). Her journey took a darker turn when she faced the harrowing reality of the industry. Exploitative figures tried to take advantage of her dreams, pushing her to compromise her principles for success. In the face of such adversity, she fiercely fought back. Fighting legal battles became her new runway, and she emerged victorious, not just reclaiming her dignity but also making a resounding statement to the world.
Through these trials, she defiantly declared, "Who are they to judge?" This mantra echoed not just in the courtroom but throughout her entire career. Against the backdrop of love and hate, strength and weakness, laughter, and mockery, she carved a path of resilience. Her triumph over adversity became the foundation of the name she always dreamed of—the lady who, against all odds, dared to challenge judgment and emerged victorious, So Who are they to judge?
