WHEN LIFE WAS SIMPLE

#africanchildhoodmemories
We ran through fields with open arms,
Chasing clouds and chasing charms.
The world was big, but we were small,
Yet in our laughter, we had it all.Mud on our shoes, leaves in our hair,
Building castles from thin air.
A secret world, just you and me,
Where every day was wild and free.We whispered dreams beneath the trees,
Caught the wind and felt the breeze.
No fear, no worries, just pure delight,
As day turned softly into night. Our hearts were light, our minds so clear,
With you, my friend, the world felt near.
Innocence wrapped in every play,
Oh, how I wish we’d stayed that way.
