WHEN A FATHER DIES
I won't ask you whether it's painful
Nor will I ask you for how long you mourned
All I want to ask you is, did you also die?
Did you also bury a part of you with him?
I won't ask you whether you healed
Because I can see your scar
I won't ask whether you miss him
Because I can see you are still waiting for him to call
But I'll ask you to tell me
What it feels to mourn for a living person
I know you don't like it
But I'll ask you not to give any reason to die with you
I won't wish to die after you leave
I need a reason to always live
Maybe I'll leave
And you too should admire life
I don't want to talk about a father
Just like you who buried some part of yourself
I've lived in the grave of a living man
And now I'd hug you from far and tell you
When next you visit your father's graveyard
As you place those flowers
Pray for me that I come out from it
May this be the last time to go at graveyard
Your love is a memory now
Stop tying a rope around your neck
There is no soul in graveyard
But there is a spirit
Anyone who becomes a father
Is an husband at one point
Great!
Let me tell you
Anyone who becomes a father is blessed
And anyone who holds a father is safe
Anyone who becomes an husband is favoured
And anyone who is held as an husband is either blessed or privileged
Either a father or husband
There is one purpose in a man's life;
His legacy
You whose father died
Listen to me
A man marries for his legacy; Masculinity
A man works for his legacy; hardworking
A man gets kids for his legacy; fertility
A man worships for his legacy; religious
A man sacrifices for his legacy; protector
A man weeps only for his legacy; love
And rarely does a man die for his legacy
Every man wants to live for his legacy
But I tell you today
If you want to die for your legacy
You have a million and more reasons to live
Just don't scratch your scars
May all dead fathers and husbands rest well
We have no connection with the dead
