However, it is said 'show me your friends and I will tell you who you are' and thy can only make you or mear you. Friends have a big role to play in your life especially in your academic life.
Years back in school, the first time I step into the campus I stubbled across a some one call 'Thompson from Akwa Ibom which from afar I knew it already that this is a like minded person who loves books and well cultured with a touch of the fear of God's, immediately be gave to flow together and became so bounded.
Thompson was a an erudite scholars who is determined to be successful academically and so much enthusiastic, he's always there to encourage and motivate me to be studious and bookish.
What I am saying in excess is to surround yourself with like minded person who are academic sound, focusing and determined with a God's fearing remember is the beginning of wisdom.
2.God factor
See, in what ever you believe in don't you ever miss placed the place of the God factor, from my 100 level till I graduated I kept acknowledging God infact before I do any manual and online registration, I will first do my spiritual registration to God , do you know why? the spiritual control the physical incase you don't know. No man is extraordinary every man has a G. Either a small g or a big G.
3.Reading plan
Reading plan or personal timetable is very sine-qua-nonary but you not follow friends pattern or methodology of reading, most persons want to do night reading especially on campus but that may not be workable for you , find a convenient and suitable pattern of reading. For me all my years I have never read in my hostel it is either library or night class because I understand the kind of person I am, can be easily distracted by kitchen, friends, roommate and I love talking and socialising my best patterns is going to the library and night class which aided my academic performance in the university.
4.Group discussions or interactive
Group discussion, play a great role in helping me to understand the courses because when about four persons has explained a particular courses over and over and only that in a situation when I appointed to go study the same course to and come and explain it also aid my comprehensiveness of that course. Thanks to all my friends in the group, Henriatta, Thompson, Ebenezer, Blossom and the rest. It is no wonder is said that iron sharpens iron.
5.Don't joke with assignment and presentation
Assignments and presentations are very important in aiding your academic performance, thank God for our generation we have all the electronic gadgets for easily learning and assistant, we should take advantage of this epochal. We have phones, laptops and Internet let maximised it.
More so, if every 100 level undergraduates can employ the following above factors to aiding there academic pursuit, you will smile in the end, no thing like carryover or I have D.
