Ondego and Amigitsi had been married for almost twenty five years through the casual way. Their first born Maggy was about to do her wedding.
When she announced the news to his parents that she was going to walk on the eilse with Brown Angutsu, her parents were nervous with the idea. They requested if it was possible for Maggy and Brown just to settle down without wedding ceremony but it could not work since Angutsu was a son of a Pastor.
It was then agreed that as per the customs of Bahusi 📍Kenyatta Beach, Kenya clan, no child could carry out a wedding before his or her parents did. So it was agreed that Mr. & Mrs.Ondego were to have their wedding on 12th of December 2012 before their daughter's on 29th of December 2012.
Plans went on well towards the day. Mr. Ondego ensured that all the dowry had been settled so that he could receive his daughter's dowry without blemish. The date for the wedding was on, it was held at Bahusi Church and reception was at Bahusi Primary School. Everyone was so happy as the relatives, church members and community joined in giving the bride and the bridegroom presents.
The couple took with them envelopes that contained money to their room for opening. There was one envelope that seemed so stretch from others. Mrs. Ondego opted to open it, and no sooner had she opened the envelope, she became uncouncious, lifeless and unbreathing. She died immediately after confirming her marriage after twenty five years. Everyone was shocked.
To dust we came and to dust we return.
