The executive governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, confirmed that his government will not accept any betrayal of trust or deliberate fraud during the administration of the contract.
The governor made this yesterday, Monday, January 20th, 2025, while addressing his government officials at the state's government house in Damaturu.
The governor said that the works given by the government must be respected and all the conditions and agreements made while handing over the work to the contractor must be respected, and he also said that it is good to ensure that every work is completed within the promised period to benefit the good people of Yobe state.
"We must have value for the money spent on all the projects being executed by the state government.
"I want you to make sure that all the work we are doing now is in accordance with the specification of the contract and is completed on time to benefit our people.
"Governor Buni said The governor also said that it is good for communities to benefit from the quality of work based on the value of the money we have paid to the contractors.
"It's good for us to benefit from the value of the money spent by having a good work and contract system based on the conditions we have awarded the contract, because this is part of the reason why the government is looking for and awarding the contract based on agreement.
"Our government will continue to work with its responsibilities, and we expect that each contractor will work according to the agreements we made with them when handing over the work." Gov. Buni added
The governor reiterated to the government officials that he will never allow anyone who is caught in the act of betrayal or betrayal while performing government duties.
