The people of Mazagane Potiskum LGA have declared that they are blessed following the provision of safe, clean and abundant water by the executive chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, through the provision of solar-powered boreholes.

Mazagane is among the areas that have suffered severe hardships and challenges of water shortage, which has affected them to the point that they have asked governments to look into their situation.

Following the call and the complaint they made to save their lives by providing them with a system that will provide them with water for their daily use, Hon. Salisu Muktari provided them with solar-powered boreholes.

As a result of the provision of these boreholes by Hon. Salisu Muktari, the people made the announcement that they are now fortunate because they do not face any challenges or shortage of daily water in their area.

"We are fortunate because we do not face any challenges in the water sector because the executive chairman of our blessed local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has provided us with a good management system that provides us with good and clean water.

"In the past, we were facing a serious water problem which even reached the point where some people were seeking assistance and leaving the area due to the lack of water and its poor quality. The main regret was that in the past, even if you got the water, it would not be clean and of good quality, and using it could also be a threat to your health.

"Now, after the provision of these solar-powered boreholes, everything is normal, and there is no health threat that we are afraid of because we are always getting good and clean water from these boreholes," residents of Mazagane said.
