WAKING UP

When the morning sun comes streaming through,
And the birds begin to chirp and coo,
I open my eyes and greet the day,
With a smile upon my face, I say:
"Good morning world, I'm ready for you!"
With a spring in my step, I start anew,
Ready to face whatever comes my way,
I'll take it all in stride, with joy and glee,
For each new day is a gift, you see.
So I greet the morning with open arms
