I was once a child too,

Innocent at that tender age.

I had the heart to be good, to grow,

But Mama only taught me with a caring rage—

Her discipline, a skilled and practiced cane.

Each night, I slept without her tale,

Trembling in a corner, face so pale.

I struggled alone, without her grace,

Believing the world was a crumbling place.

Why would she bore me can not embrace me

Perhaps she wishes to get ride of me

But my presence have made her life in jeopardy

So she repented and lost all hope in me.
