As Hon. Salisu Muktari is devoting his full time to ensuring that Governor Buni’s commitment to improving health and creating a sound management system in hospitals across Yobe State is being met with the highest priority.
The unscheduled and unexpected visit to inspect primary health care (PHC) facilities by Hon. Salisu Muktari is playing a vital role in motivating health workers and motivating them to perform their duties well and in an efficient manner at all times.
Attending the OBR "Outbreak Response for Polio" meetings to prevent the spread of new diseases, provide immunisation and discuss how to overcome and solve problems that may arise in the primary health care sector.
Following these two initiatives, the Executive Chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, is focusing on conducting supportive supervisions in primary health care centres (PHC) to provide support and look at the areas that have shortcomings to change the management system.
The visit he is taking confirms the importance of the sector to him because it is an initiative that shows and confirms health workers must be committed to doing what is right for patients across Potiskum LGA.
The Director PHC board of Potiskum LGA, Dr. Abdulrahman Musa, confirmed that the initiative of Hon. Salisu Muktari is like attracting attention and inspiring the health workers not only in Potiskum LGA.
"The efforts of Hon. Salisu Muktari are like a wake-up call for health workers to always do what is right after the fear of being caught in a situation of negligence, and this is like a wake-up call for all health workers in Yobe State, not just Potiskum LGA."
