Potiskum has attracted the attention of some international sesame traders who are exporting it to foreign countries during the preparations for the 46th Kaduna International Trade Fair in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
The traders came as visitors and went down to the Potiskum Pavilion while looking at the samples of agricultural products brought by the Potiskum local government area. They came across different varieties of sesame, which surprised them, as they had been in the sesame business for a long time, but they had no idea that sesame was available in Yobe State.
Alh. Abdulrahman Yunusa, who is involved in the import and export of sesame to various processing companies, said, “There is sesame in Potiskum; we thought that only Nasarawa and Jigawa produced sesame because that is where we can get to export it into different parts of this country and even outside the country.”
After we told them that we have sesame in abundance and quality they expressed interest in establishing strong business relationships to obtain abundant and quality sesame that will help them grow their businesses.
“We are interested in establishing Sesame business relationships with your traders and companies because we need quality and wealth in the products we will buy because we process it into various other products, including food and others. Certainly, establishing business relationships with your local government and your state will yield positive results.” Alh. Abdulrahman Yunusa added
