Marking World Statistics Day 2025, themed “Driving Change with Quality Statistics and Data for Everyone,” Yobe’s transformation stands as a shining example of how quality data can rebuild public trust and accelerate development.
At the heart of this change is the Yobe State Bureau of Statistics (YSBS), now the engine powering policy planning, project monitoring, and performance evaluation. Through the Bureau, Yobe has replaced assumptions with evidence, ensuring that every decision reflects real community needs.
“Data is the new foundation of public trust,” said a senior government official. “With YSBS, every policy and project is guided by facts, not guesses, delivering fairness, transparency, and impact.”
