This got me right in the chest. I tried pottery once in college and absolutely could not get the hang of letting the clay do what it wanted—kept trying to force it into shapes and it just collapsed lol. The way you wrote about her hands remembering what the mud wants to become... that's it exactly. It's like the clay teaches you patience if you actually stop and listen. 3 days ago
