The saga of sun

from shuteye the sangiunous traveller
step at the threshold
raise lower limb above horrizon
cast glinting
drapes of orange, pink, and purple
over calm sky of new beginning

undress her of sackcloth with good nature
grow scarlet,
fulgent in vast sky overlay
wild blue yonder

hop over meridian
sculpt skirting shadow

cast me perpendicular between limbs,
clad sky in garment of streak
distill air into phase change of live steam

lap sea with cerise tongue of vapour,
flex in the wood, perch on leaf.
lash man and beast gad!

animal dodder, flowers genuflect
leaf grow pale, fold palm, bow in fission

sigh of late summer day glaze into fire;
embroidery of orange and purple

undulate collusion of sky burst, red
and grey-amber into the poise of twilight

set upper limb, descend below horrizon
segue through pastel of purple, pink, orange
and deeping blue -

song of colour
sing all to slumber;
last rays of sun ebb into the burrow of night!

Wow, this poem is like a visual feast! The colors of orange, pink, and purple really paint the sky in such a vibrant way. The adventure and beauty you describe make me feel like I'm on a journey myself right now.

The poem captures the essence of nature's transformation during late summer, blending vivid imagery and personification to evoke moments of beauty and change. It's a serene reflection on capturing fleeting natural beauties.
