THE PATIENT WOMAN WITH SORROWS
Reeking of worries and loads
Yet her smile kept on amidst the pains.
Never lost it; always guarded it with jealousy
She titterd her way through it.
"Your time will come!" the speech givers told her
"Your time is coming. In the end, you will enjoy ."
She cleaved on to these words
"My time will come." she believed.
There she laid, breathing in her last
She tried as hard to not let her regrets out
"My time will come, my time is coming." she muttered repeatedly till the tone went flat.
As we told her tale by the fireplace with our butts on her gravestone,
"The Patient Woman With Sorrows" read the epitaph.
The young blood scoffed in sarcasm
"My time will come." they mocked
Of course it did.
Like the dog, she got her bone.
And like always, no pound of flesh to indemnify her patience.
