The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, is currently reconstructing and remodelling the Potiskum local government area lodge.
The ongoing reconstruction and remodelling of the Government Lodge follows the commitment of Governor Buni and Hon. Salisu Muktari since 1992 as councillors who share the same mission of rehabilitating government properties to improve the lives of their people and to create sustainable and quality development.
Hon. Salisu Muktari, an expert in the rehabilitation of government properties and the renovation of dilapidated or abandoned areas, has taken a positive step by renovating and remodelling the Government Lodge into a modern guest house with modern facilities and recreational areas.
The fact that this Government Lodge has been abandoned for many years now; Governor Buni and Hon. Salisu Muktari are determined to see the place revived to facilitate the local government in hosting visitors, improve revenue sources and prevent property losses to provide accommodation for visitors in the local government.
Arch. Alhassan, the civil and professional engineer, confirmed that:
"This project is almost completed and It is a matter of pride for the good people of Potiskum Local Government and Yobe State as a whole, as Hon. Salisu Muktari is committed to ensuring that a quality and effective project is produced which will be a source of pride for us all.
"In these units, no part of the work will be done in an unprofessional manner. Based on my expertise in the field of construction, we will ensure that we provide a well-designed and quality building that will improve the lives of those who have settled down.
"In our plans, there is the provision of quality and sufficient infrastructure to improve areas where visitors can find balance, relax or rest." Arch. Alhassan
