The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area Hon. Salisu Muktari is currently installing modern pumps, taps that use solar energy in the local government secretariat in order to solve the water problem that the secretariat has been suffering from for a long time.

The provision of modern taps and clean water in the secretariat follows the aim of the executive chairman to revive the local government from the setbacks it is facing due to the lack of coordination in some parts of the local government.

The Potiskum local government DPM Alh. Adamu Dagona confirmed that now the Secretariat of the local government is out of the threat of scarcity or lack of water that it is suffering from in the past.

"Now we have a good system where we have sufficient and clean water in every sector or part of this secretariat, this follows the efforts made by the honorable Chairman Hon. Salisu Muktari to update and modernize the secretariat.

"Before now, local government employees used to go out with buckets to find water they can use in their offices, but now the secretariat is equipped with modern pumps that is using modern solar energy and there is enough water in the secretariat where we don't have water problems 24 hours of every day." Hon. Adamu Dagona assured

The Chairman did not stop in providing adequate water alone, he also updated and renovated the office of DPM, Chairman and Vice Chairman in order to provide them with peace of mind while managing the community's activities.
