With all her riches and gold
Oil and waters
Fell in love with an invader
The naivety of her was used
How welcoming she was
How entertaining she was
Revealing the strength of her generations
The invader was not in love with her
The riches and gold
Were the love of the invader

They saw the fullness of her riches
Deception was disguised as love
Sweeping her off her wealth
They took advantage of her gullibility
She began to lose grip of her pride
Oh my children
Oh my riches and Gold
I sold you for the love of a stranger
The invader came to use us
Steal our wealth
I welcome with an open hand
The invader came with weapons
He ruled my heart with deception
Penetrate my beliefs
Taught my children myths
Taught my generation conflict
Oh my Africa
