Agriculture can be said to be the science and practice of cultivating soil, growing crops, and raising animals for food, fiber, and other products used to sustain and enhance human life. It encompasses and involved a wide range of activities, including planting, harvesting, breeding livestocks, and managing resources like water and land.
Agriculture is the future hope of Nigeria. It is our oldest business in Nigeria and Africa at large. Agriculture is essential for food security, economic development, job creation, and environmental sustainability in Nigeria.

However, these are some several reasons why agriculture is crucial in Nigeria and then should be encouraged among youths.
We implore government's and all stakeholders to try as much as possible to find a way to orientate and motivate us back to our source (agricultural practices and business in Nigeria 🇳🇬).

Feeds Populations
Agriculture is unarguably the primary source of food for the population. It ensures that people have access to essential nutrients and sustenance, which is vital for health and well-being.

Provides Fibres
Agricultural activities produce fibers such as cotton, which are essential for the textile industry. This not only supports local industries but also provides consumers with clothing and other textile products.

Feeds Livestock
Agriculture produces feed for livestock, which is important for meat, dairy, and other animal products. A healthy livestock sector contributes to food security and nutrition.

Fuels Bioenergy
Agricultural products can be used to generate bioenergy, providing alternative energy sources that can reduce dependence on fossil fuels and contribute to energy security.

Contributes to the country GDPGrowth
Agriculture plays a significant role in Nigeria's economy, contributing to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). A robust agricultural sector can stimulate economic growth and development.

Poverty amelioration
By providing livelihoods and income-generating opportunities, agriculture can help lift people out of poverty. It is a vital sector for rural development and poverty alleviation.

Reduces Unemployments
Agriculture is a major source of employment in Nigeria, engaging a significant portion of the workforce. This helps to reduce unemployment rates and improve living standards.

Reduces Carbon Emission
Sustainable agricultural practices can help mitigate climate change by reducing carbon emissions. Practices such as agroforestry and organic farming can enhance carbon sequestration and promote environmental sustainability.
