Here I seat amiss
Musing over the foray
Taking stock of my life forlorn
I wonder which was worst?
The first of the heartbreaks or this?
I ponder on weak guesses without clues,
While my pains were my fears
And the stream of tears I shed
Was the comfort zone I begged not for.
I deem it not tactical error or masterclass ignorance
For it need not be.
Though my fears frustrates my resilience to let go sad memories
But it was a night of deepening shadows
And the silence of an eternal in screaming deafness
With its pages torn straight from my last experience with the other half,
But yet beats my resolve like a stranger's strike.
